| JV Yellow Jackets win home opener over Zeigler Royalton 66-55

Playing their first home game of the season, the Chester Yellow Jacket JV boys team knocked off Zeigler Royalton 66-55 Tuesday night in Daniel Colbert Memorial Gym.
With the win, the JV team improves to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the West Division of the Black Diamond Conference. Next up is a road game at Christopher Friday night at 6:15pm. Chester led 10-6 after the first quarter and built a 30-24 lead at halftime after outscoring the Tornadoes 20-18 in the second quarter. The Yellow Jacket JV outscored Zeigler Royalton 18-16 in the third and 18-15 in the fourth en route to the 11-point decision. Jake Lochhead poured in a game high 20 points for the Yellow Jackets while Cody Mileur finished with 13 points. Alec Weir added nine points while Austin Gendron and Kramer Eggemeyer each finished with six points. Austin Redeker (5), Garret Alms (3), Jared Johnson (2) and Joel Clendenin (2) also scored for Chester. |
