The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets ended an eight-game losing streak Monday night with a 47-41 home win over the Elverado Lady Falcons in Black Diamond Conference play.

With the win, Chester finishes their sophomore season in the BDC West Division with a record of 2-8. Now 5-18 on the season, the Lady Yellow Jackets will host St. Vincent of Perryville, MO Thursday night for Senior Night. Game time is set for around 7:45pm and the matchup will air live on KSGM AM 980.

Elverado led 10-8 after the first quarter but then Chester took control over the next two quarters. The Lady Yellow Jackets outscored Elverado 13-8 in the second quarter to take a 21-18 lead at halftime.

Chester built an 11 point lead heading to the fourth, leading 35-24, after they outscored the visiting Lady Falcons 14-6.

Elverado outscored Chester 16-12 in the final eight minutes but the Lady Yellow Jackets held on for the win.

Raelyn Rosendohl led Chester with a game high 16 points while Megan Marcinkowska finished with 10 points.

De'Na Nesbitt (6), Chelsea Schroeder (4), Taylor LaRose (4), Alexandria Fedderke (3), Kellie Dillow (2) and McKenzi Rucker (2) also scored for Chester.

Lacey Qualls led Elverado with 16 points while Corine Wilson finished with 14 points.

Rosendohl, Fedderke and Marcinkowska each pulled down six rebounds while Dillow finished with five.

Nesbitt dished out four assists while Fedderke finished with two.
